Welcome to the Pier 5 Hotel

As you pull up Harbor Magic Drive and pass the Power Plant entertainment complex and the National Aquarium- youll realize just how fabulous the Pier 5 Hotels waterfront location really is. Step inside the three-story atrium lobby and gaze in wonder as vaulted ceilings kiss gem-toned walls and plush velvet couches welcome the weary legs of urban explorers. The Pier 5 Hotel is an enthralling blend of comfortably hip designs- vibrant colors and some gorgeous harbor views. And with three of the citys best restaurants Ruths Chris-Pier 5- McCormick Schmicks and Peacock Cafe off the hotel Lobby- its no wonder the Pier 5 Hotel is considered a destination in itself. ...read more

With an "awesome" location on its own pier, "right next door to the aquarium and all of Inner Harbor", this "boutique"-ish hotel offers "spacious" rooms (some with "excellent" views), "comfortable" beds and a "colorful" and slightly "art deco" interior, plus "two well-known restaurants" attached; and while guests may get "irritated" by a "mandatory" daily fee for Internet and other amenities (especially as there's "no fitness center on-site"), the afternoon culinary "crabby hour" brings a smile.

Far from convention center and shuttle won't go there. Parking was expensive!

It had great location and the lobby was exceptionally cool.
They tried to charge a destination fee and gave me 2 doubles instead of a king.

The staff goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Nicely appointed rooms, great location.
Some items not in great repair, a little loud.

Great location, nicely decorated, room furniture a bit worn/uncomfortable desk chair.

The bed and bedding and towels were excellent.
The TV, remote controls and heat/AC were terrible.

The rooms were attractive but the TV and remote were useless. The have nice flat screen TV but the function ability of the remote was not good. The heat was very noisy so when the fan kicked on about every 3 to 4 minutes the volume for the TV had to be adjusted up and then down. The staff was excellent. ...read more

Atmosphere; information created for inauguration.
Dirty bed linen; parking not affiliated with hotel & very expensive.

Hotel is very nice, but you get charged a $10 for internet service. An activity, water in your room. We were there for the inauguration so we had to check out extremely early, but the friendly staff did provide information for the inaugural events, closings, etc., and gave a $50 gift certificate to be used towards our next stay. I thought that was nice. ...read more

The Staff was the friendliest people.
Not too many amenities such as room service at night-we couldn't find a room service menu in the room.

For my needs in this trip the hotel was perfect! I did not need too many amenities to make use of since I was traveling for the inauguration. But we did notice that there were not too many services like room service or a pool to make use of for the children in our trip. Also working the TV remote was absolutely impossible, even after a technician gave us a new one. They were new TV but I could not access the channels; there was no response and I really wanted to watch Inauguration details while at the hotel. ...read more
